Letters, ca. 1820-1865.

Letters and receipts to patrons, publishers and printmakers mostly concern the sale and exhibition of his paintings and the sale and production of engravings. Correspondents include James St. Aubyn, George Morant, George Cooke, John Hogarth, George Holford, Henry Mogford and the painter George Arnald. Paintings discussed include "Richard (Son of William the Conqueror) Killed by a Stag," "The Interior of an Inn, Highlands of Scotland," "Hotspur, the King and Prince Henry," and "Two Soldiers and a Horse," and Copley Fielding's "Eastcastle." One letter contains an illustration of a drum from one of his pictures; a separate sheet contains watercolor crests of the Gomme and Tyler families.
